The second Italian national competition took place in Trento on December 19. In this last event of 2021, emotions and enthusiasm were at their highest, both for the skaters and the public.

TeamrnIce Breakers won the Juvenile division, skating a "Cirque durnSolei" themed program and earned 27.24 points.

Mixed Age

In thernMixed Age division, Olimpia Team won first place with a total score of 63.12rnpoints. They performed an engaging program to the song "The Sound ofrnSilence" by Disturbed. "We are really happy about our result, we gavernourselves in this performance, and we earned the highest score our team has everrnachieved," they said.
rnrnIn second place, Team Frost Fairies skated on a dark version of "Can't helprnfalling in love" by Elvis and earned 43.43 points. "With our program, we want to represent an unreachable love from which it should be a better getaway, but that is also impossible to give up," they explained.

A brandrnnew team ranked third with a total of 36.03 points: Team Snowflakes fromrnTurin. "This is our first competition as a synchro team. Since 2013 wernhave been an Ice Theatre team, a discipline not well known in Italy; but, duernto the difficulties of travelling to France for competitions, this year werndecided to venture into synchronized skating".
rnrnTeamrnShining Blades ranked fourth with a total score of 31.13 points.
rnrnTeamrnShiny Ice from Brunico should have also competed in the Mixed Age division, butrnunfortunately, they had to withdraw at the very last minute due to the highrnCovid-19 rate in their town.

Junior B

Team Icernon Fire won first place in the Junior B division with 60.00 points. Theirrnprogram is entitled "Fire on Fire," and they skated to the showrn"Dralion" soundtrack by the Cirque du Soleil. "We are reallyrnsatisfied with our result, we improved our score, and that was our goal,"rnthey explained.
rnrnOlimpiarnTeam, from Como, ranked second with 56.41 points improving their score by 21rnpoints from the last competition! Theyrnperformed to the songsrn"Adiemus" by Karl Jenkins and "Never give up on yourrndreams" by Thomas Bergersen. "Wernare really proud of ourselves and our improvements! Since our ice rink isrnclosed due to structural problems, we have been able to skate only 3 hours since our last competition in November."

In third place, Team Ice Angels skated to the "Modern Times" soundtrack by Charlie Chaplin and obtained 28.17 points. Team Ice Sparkles ranked fourth with 24.80 points with a more dancing and upbeat program.
Team Shining Blades got fifth place with 24.71 points, only 0.09 points less than Team Ice Sparkles. In sixth place, Olimpia Team performed an "Aladdin" themed program. They had two unfortunate falls during the intersection and earned a score of 23.16 points.

Everyone from the stands was enchanted and moved by theirrnperformance. They wonrnthe competition with a total score of 180.15 points, which is the new Italianrnrecord!
