The Senior division took place on Friday evening in Rouen, France. The category included many strong competitors from around the world.
rnSkating in purple dresses, Team Paradise won the short event with their program on « Listen » by Beyonce. The World Champions 2016 presented a clean and speedy short program and earned 72.68 points.
rnTeam Unique signed a major comeback in France. The team coached by Mirjami Penttinen skated to « Ramalama Bang Bang ». Their very creative program brought them 69.04 points.
With their short program on « Mirror Mirror » theme, Rockettes, from Finland also, placed at the 3rd position, 1.34 points away from their compatriots.
rnAt the 4th place, the only Canadian team engaged in France this season: NEXXICE Senior. The famous team skated a fun short to « Got Your Number » by Serena Ryder. They earned a total of 62.96 points for their short. NEXXICE has to give everything on Saturday to catch up and reach the podium.
Skating first in the Senior event, Crystallettes showed an emotional short program (total: 58.86 points) and Revolutions from Finland skated their dynamic short on the Jungle’s theme. They earned 53.96 points.
rnAt the 7th place, Team Zoulous from France who did 49.20 points. "We're really happy with our program even if we had a fall. We're also glad to realize that our work pays and we're satisfied with our 7th place. This put us in very good conditions for the free program on Saturday and we hope that you'll travel with our long program... ;)" said Magali Leininger & Pauline Coupez, the Zoulous team captains after the short.
rnMiami University was dressed in black and red to the « Right Amount of Wrong » by Imelda May. With 48.00 points, this is four points less than two weeks ago in Salzburg. Team Boomerang from Sweden finished at the 9th place after the short program (47.12 points) and Jingu Ice Messengers representing Japan got a score of 42.70 points.
With a total of 38.86 points, Cool Dreams improved a little bit its score. At the beginning of January, the Swiss team did a total of 37.61 points. Skating Graces (Germany) earned 33.98 points and Team Ice United from Netherlands, 27.36 points.
rnThe free competitions will start on Saturday at 3 PM (local time) for Juniors and from 7:15 PM to 22:30 PM for Seniors.
