Team Spirit and Team Nova to represent Sweden at Junior Worlds

After finishing in second place at the first qualifying competition, Team Spirit from Mölndal/Kungsbaka took back the lead and won both programs’ competitions with a total score of 129.34. The team will be going to Junior Worlds as Team Sweden 1.

Team Nova from Boras is off to an incredible start for their debut in the junior category, as they took the second place and will thus be going to Zagreb as Team Sweden 2.

After a silver medal this weekend, we can now happily announce that Team Nova will in March participate in its very first World Junior Championships 🤩🥈 Congratulations @teamspiritsweden for the gold, and we are very excited to get to go to Zagreb with you!! #skatesweden #teamnovaswe

On the third step of the podium was Team Seaside from Tjörn, earning 108.97 for both programs.

Team Moonlights from Nacka placed fourth and Team Rhapsody from Ytterby fifth, respectively earning 98.59 and 69.75 points.

What a crazy weekend! We started the competition on Saturday with a powerful short program and received a score of 37,80 points, which is a new record for us! Sunday came around and it was time for us to show our free program. The performance was strong but unfortunately we had some technical mistakes. Over all, we are very pleased with our performances, and we want to thank everybody who came to support us! We couldn’t have done it without you❤️ #skatesweden

In the senior category, Team Surprise from Landvetter took home the gold scoring 204.67 points after both days of competition.

After a couple of mishaps both in the short and the free programs, Team Boomerang from Göteborg placed second with a total score of 138.54 points.

New to the senior category, Team Unity from Angered, showed some improvement since the first qualifier and placed third with 125.39 points.

The teams chosen to represent Sweden at the World Championships in Stockholm next April will be announced after the national championships at the end of February.

We are satisfied with our skates this weekend in Nacka. Now we will continue with our hard work and are super excited for the next competition 🦅

Team Karisma from Göteborg won the novice category followed by Team Seaflowers for the silver and Team Limelight for the bronze.

The home team, Team Caprice, finished in fourth place just ahead of Team Harmony and Team Luna.
